Surprise

After two first chemo's ,by the third week, my legs were giving me trouble and I could hardly walk.
This time after the third chemo I would wake up every morning and wait for the legs to be swollen and painful, but so far so good...
It is true that the nurse said it may be that one can outgrow the pain in the legs - and she was evidently right. I am so full of joy and want to tell all my colleagues that
there may be some good news even during our difficult journey.
Also sleeping with "xanax" makes all the difference; I have no bad dreams, do not toss and turn
and sleep without anxiety.
On the negative side I developed some sort of red rush on my hands and a bit on feet, which my oncologist tells me is not related to my chemo treatment, but most likely is a virus that is due to my immune deficiency. I read up on it and am nor really looking forward to the possible treatment.
There is a saying that: "if ever there is a very thin material it will tear"; how sad but true.

THIRD CHEMOTERAPY

I spent two weeks in Washington area where my son, his wife and two grandchildren live.
It was so good for my soul; my feet were still hurting but I was concentrating on good emotions and togetherness; so Christmas and New Year we celebrated together very joyfully. It is so good to laugh , love and feel loved - it beats all the medicines.
On 4th of January I was back home in New York area and on 5th started preparation for the 3rd
chemo - bloodwork, steroids, etc. On the 6th of January I underwent the third and middle of my treatment;( like a friend of mine said "the end is near"to which I replied what end?).
So far everything is a repetition of the previous treatments. But anxiety was not bad because I took what my in-law doctor and my oncologist prescribed - medicine zanac or aprozalam and could
sleep without problems. Dear sisters talk to your doctors they really help.
